Tonight we will remember Barend Petersen, one of the old cats of the Rotterdam jazzscene. Multi awarded and experienced jazz composer, promotor and international sesion player (Percy Sledge, The Trammps, The Frog, Swinging Soul Machine). We still remember his great performance at Dizzy with Rick Devito, may 2017.
Barend Petersen meant a lot to Dizzy and the Dutch jazz scene. He will be missed. Please feel free to join this open session at Dizzy. There will be basic backline: drumkit, upright piano, guitar + bass amp and of course a mic to sing and tell stories and tributes. Lets make it special!
