07-11-2018 Dizzy Moon 09: Pély Barna / Brian Murphy
7 November 2018 @ 21:00
Ninth edition of singer-songwriter series Dizzy Moon, hosted by Mark Ritsema and powered by Popunie. Free entrance.
Hungarian blues man Pély Barna is already a star in his own country. Now it’s time to conquer Europe with his foot stomping and hollering guitar blues that incorporates elements of soul and funk. He once was frontman of the well known Hungarian band B The First and wrote several radio hits for the band United. With his fame he gained a spot in the jury of Hungarian Idol (called Megasztár) which also made him a tv personality. But listening to his music you can hear that his heart belongs to the blues: to John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters with a touch of modern r&b. From the swamps of Budapest!
Brian Murphy is a passionate musician based in Rotterdam. Originally from England, Brian writes music from a personal space in an attempt to turn his thoughts and experiences into sound and song. He usually tries to write his songs as spontaneous and honest as possible, expressing the power of creative outbursts. He was brought up with The Beatles as his kick-start to his passion of music and later on got inspired by musicians like: John Frusciante, Lou Reed and Patti Smith. Recently he took part in the finals of De Grote Prijs Van Rotterdam.
