27-03-2019 Dizzy Moon 18: Muriel En Chansons & Bronte Lavendel
27 March 2019 @ 21:30
18th edition of singer-songwriter series Dizzy Moon, hosted by Mark Ritsema and powered by Popunie. Free entrance.
Muriel en chansons is a collection of sensual, French piano-songs, written and performed by singer-songwriter Muriel Kloek. In these chansons she creates a world of her own. Then subdued and subtle, then raw and expressive, she sings about what we sometimes would rather not want to know: We can fear our dark side, but do those instincts and silent desires not mean our strength and freedom? Muriel lived in Rome and southern France before moving to Rotterdam. She makes music because she must and French is her native language. In November 2018 her debut album was released: Le Cri de la Nuit – The Call of the Night.
Bronte Lavendel is a dreamy, quirky singer-songwriter from Rotterdam. With her warm, sultry voice she creates a calm and soothing atmosphere. Her narrative songs are jazzy, soulful and slightly floaty, but always thought-provoking and moving. She draws inspiration from current events in the world, from herself and the people around her.
