Brazilian Jazz Night – Saturday, October 4, 21:30
On Saturday, October 4 at 9:30 PM, we present a special Brazilian Jazz Night featuring two outstanding guest artists: vocalist Eglė Petrosiūtė and oboist/English horn player Maripepa Contreras.
Petrosiūtė, originally from Lithuania and now based in the Netherlands, is known for her warm voice and versatility, moving effortlessly between Brazilian bossa nova, samba, modern jazz, and her own compositions.
Contreras brings a unique sound to the stage, blending the colors of the oboe and English horn with the freedom of jazz and world music, adding rare depth and expression to the ensemble.
Guitarist Jan Dumée, Jazz Musician in Residence, curates and leads the ensemble. With his distinctive style and international experience, he provides the creative framework in which improvisation and collaboration flourish.
