Eastern Sounds returns to Dizzy Jazz Café this Sunday the 31st after its last edition past June, for the commence of a new chapter that will season Rotterdam up with the delightful spices of the Orient.
Edu Doreste will open up the 25-26’ season with a journey between Jazz and Indian music, acknowledging inspirational figures such as Zakir Hussain (Shakti, Dave Holland’s trio), Nittin Mitta or Trilok Gurtu, and emphasizing therefore the sound of the tabla, an instrument that has shaped the course of Jazz music for many years now.
