An exceptional bass player originally from southern Brazil and now based in São Paulo. Glauco is a sought-after performer and recording artist, having worked with a long list of renowned musicians both in Brazil and internationally.
He was the musical director for legendary trombonist Raul de Souza for over 15 years and has released five albums as a composer and bandleader. He’s currently part of Mano a Mano Trio, Duo Bandolaxo, and Projeto Cataia (with Arismar do Espírito Santo).
Over his 35-year career, he has collaborated with artists such as João Bosco, Airto Moreira, João Donato, Ron Carter, Badi Assad, Richard Bona, and Toninho Horta.
In addition to performing, Glauco is also active as a teacher, arranger, and cultural producer. He recently published a book titled “Levadas Brasileiras”, exploring the history of the bass in Brazilian music.
Cuca Teixeira
Considered one of Brazil’s top drummers, Cuca began his professional career at just 15, immersed in São Paulo’s vibrant music scene.
As a versatile drummer, he has performed with both Brazilian and international artists, including Michael Brecker, George Benson, Joe Lovano, Lee Konitz, Ohad Talmor, Scott Henderson, and Frank Gambale.
He’s also toured extensively with Brazilian singers Marina Lima, Paula Lima, and Maria Rita (daughter of Elis Regina), with performances including the Montreux Jazz Festival.
A key figure in Brazilian instrumental music, Cuca has been part of influential projects like “Mr. Motaba”, “UmdoisTrio”, and “Neural Code” (with Thiago Espírito Santo and Kiko Loureiro).
