Robbert Fossen Blues Band
Robbert (1969) has been on stage for about 35 years, mainly as a blues musician. In October 1987, he was on stage for the first time in the famous Haarlem Jazz Club.
He has performed hundreds of times and won several awards, including best blues singer in the Netherlands, won the Dutch Blues Challenge twice and has represented the Netherlands twice at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, where he was the only Dutchman ever to reach the finals in 2013; in 2017, the semi-finals. Robbert also has a great track record by accompanying various American blues and soul artists.
Tonight they will play as a 4-piece band. Expect the raw Chicago Blues, which was played in the many blues clubs in Chicago in the 70s and 80s; with a touch of soul and gospel here and there.
– Robbert Fossen: Vocals, guitar, harmonica
