Abigaël Ama presents Vueltas
Fresh from a tour in Spain, Amsterdam-based singer, songwriter and violinist Abigaël Ama brings her music to Dizzy Jazz Café. Her songs combine intimate, elegant songwriting with jazz, shaped by her classical background and her years of living and making music in Spain.
During her recent tour, Madrid-based music platform En Vivo Madrid described her music as carrying a distinctive elegance and intimacy, where beautiful songwriting and jazz come together naturally.
Abigaël graduated with a Master’s degree from Berklee College of Music and has previously opened concerts for Brazilian singer-songwriter Leo Middea.
At Dizzy, she presents her debut album Vueltas with her trio: Henry Galli on guitar, from Brazil, and Jorge Cabezas on bass, from Colombia. Their South American musical backgrounds become an important part of the sound, meeting Abigaël’s voice, violin and songwriting.
Vueltas is a record about returning to your roots, learning from the past and finding your way back to yourself.
