Nonato Lima is a virtuoso accordionist. Hailed by Richard Galliano as one of the most talented accordionists of the new generation, Lima’s work blends classical music, jazz, and Brazilian instrumental music. Born in Fortaleza in northeastern Brazil, the instrumentalist is also a composer—with two released albums to his name—dedicated to expressing the Brazilian soul and its Iberian, African, and European roots. Following in the footsteps of legends like Dominguinhos and Sivuca, he has developed a distinctive style and a captivating virtuosity. His fluid, expressive playing takes the audience on a musical journey where sophisticated jazz harmonies meet Brazilian folk music.
