BEATRIZ is the musical project of Cuban pianist, composer and bandleader Laura Argudin. Based in Rotterdam, she brings together an international ensemble of outstanding musicians, blending Cuban music, Latin jazz and contemporary influences into a vibrant and distinctive sound.
With captivating compositions, infectious grooves and a strong spirit of improvisation, BEATRIZ bridges tradition and innovation in a unique way. The band has performed internationally and toured Colombia, appearing in cities such as Pasto, Cali and Barranquilla, where they connected with audiences through their energetic and authentic performances.
BEATRIZ is currently recording a new album, further exploring Laura’s Cuban roots while embracing the creative energy of the European jazz scene. The upcoming release promises a rich mix of Afro-Cuban rhythms, memorable melodies and adventurous Latin jazz.
