In the run-up to the ’24/’25/’26 theater season, the jazz quintet of the Nederlands Muziek Consortium brings the repertoire of the idiosyncratic Dutch diva Corry ‘La’ Brokken to the stage. She is considered one of the Netherlands’ best singers in light music in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Her repertoire covered a wide field, including American jazz songs, French Chansons, Dutch quality songs and much more.
In a passionately swinging, but also romantic way, the quintet delves into the nostalgic past with you. Special guest is Roxanne Hartog who further enlivens the concert with her passionate and sultry voice.
NMC Quintet consists of:
René ten Cate – vibraphone
Jan Dumée – guitar
Eelco van Velzen – trombone
Boris Oud – double bass
Jonas Linnemann – drums
Featuring: Roxanne Hartog – vocal
